Heceta Head Lighthouse Elopement
I have ALWAYS wanted to capture an elopement at Heceta Head in Florence, Oregon. The Oregon coast is infamous for its beautiful rocky cliffs, caves, and lush forrest all in one. A&K's elopement was nothing short of picturesque with the varying scenery the landscape has to offer.
Planning your Oregon Coast Elopement
When planning your elopement on the Oregon Coast, timing is EVERYTHING. Taking time to put in the research in the tide tables will make all the difference. It was critical for A&K's bridals that we plan our day around the tides so that we could capture all the epic caves that the landscape has to offer. Prioritizing what parts of your day you would like further out on the beach will help for a smooth and worry free day.
Planning your accommodations
With a Bed & Breakfast on site, Heceta Head is the perfect choice for out of state couples, or couples just looking for a cozy way to start their honeymoon. You can even plan extra time for cozy hot cocoa photos inside the historic B&B for a more romanic feel!
Permits
In Oregon, a permit is not required for weddings with less than 50 guests. For weddings of 50 or more guests, or if large wedding props (such as chairs, arches, greenery installations) are in the plan, reach out to the State Parks Department for a definitive answer on what, if any permits are required for your ceremony. You can reach the Oregon State Parks Department at 800-551-6949.
